Congratulations to Bruce Williams - winner of the $500 in Chamber Bonus Bucks in our Downtown in December punch card drawing! The Downtown in December punch card drawing was an event that was held to provide an incentive to our citizens that shopped locally during the Christmas season. If you shopped in a participating business, you received a punch card for any $10 or more purchase. The punch card consisted of 5 $10 punches, once the punch card was full - you wrote down your name and number and were entered in to a drawing to win either and iPad 2 or $500 in Chamber Bonus Bucks. The winner was announced LIVE on KKAN/KQMA the Tadpoll on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011. This event began with the Downtown in December kick-off event that occured December 1st. The PHS Amendment sang carols, the Kensington Bell Choir performed, Santa was at Couli Kaffee and a free viewing of Winnie the Pooh was at the Majestic theatre! We recieved over 1,600 punch cards equaling over $80,000 spent locally this Christmas Season. People from all over the Phillips County, the State and even out-of-state were recorded shopping in Phillipsburg! How incredible!!
